The Quality Assurance Manager is a key member of the Management Team and will provide leadership, direction, and support for the company and the Quality Management System (QMS). This senior-level role must possess a strong work ethic, leadership qualities and outstanding communication skills.
Will oversee, supervise quality assurance staff, and/or perform functions, including:
Lead the organization to ensure compliance to our client’s quality management system, customer requirements and continuous improvement efforts.
Establish and maintain the Quality Management System and standardization of the Quality Manual, Procedures, Work Instructions and forms to ensure conformance to ISO9001/AS9100, FAA, and other regulatory / legal requirements.
Act as a liaison between local operations and our extended team in other states.
Manage the quality audit system for the manufacturing plant
Supervise first article inspections, in process and quality department working closely with the Engineering.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, customer service, and others to ensure quality system documentation is accurate and followed to meet internal and external customer requirements.
Monitors and implements programs to improve supplier performance.
Monitor key performance metrics and report to the President with job performance.
Oversee Return Material Authorization (RMA) process.
Oversee the calibration and monitoring of equipment and measuring devices.
Manage the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) process.
Plan and implement process to achieve FAA Repair Station certification.
College degree or equivalent work experience of 10+ years in a comparable and verifiable role in a must.
Working knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Machining, Fabrication and a Manufacturing environment essential.
Metrology skills and ability to read blueprints (GD&T)
Experience with Aerospace or sound systems preferred.
Customer specific quality registration, certification process experience in ISO9001/AS9100.
Working knowledge of all inspection measuring and testing equipment.
Exceptional attention to detail, verbal, and written communication skills required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Must be an active listener and effective problem-solver who can meet tight deadlines.
Comfortable office setting as well as manufacturing environment
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Exercise professional judgment always, working independently and as a member of a team.
Must be physically able to walk, climb stairs, sit, stand, use eyes, hands, and speak clearly.
