Eclipse Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a full time experienced Process Engineer for our facility in Saint Petersburg, FL. The selected candidate will develop new and maintain existing vacuum deposition processes for sputter, E-beam and roll-to-roll based deposition systems leading to the fabrication of active and passive thin film coatings. The ideal candidate will be well versed in optical coatings and modeling, design and characterization. Experience with either Macleod or FilmStar required.
Responsible for the design and development of thin film coatings, tooling design, qualification, and process documentation. Assist with specification and installation of new equipment, substrate cleaning, inspection, and characterization. Support preventative maintenance programs and repairs of coating equipment, assist program management and operations personnel with technical guidance. Familiarity with clean room procedures required.
BS in engineering or related discipline, preferably in physics, optics, materials science, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience with E-beam, sputter, and roll-to-roll process, design and deposition. Substrate cleaning methods and performance measuring, familiarity with other thin film coating technologies and metrology preferred.
Expert skills with Essential Macleod or other optical thin film design software.
Strong analytical, fault isolation, and problem-solving skills. DOE and SOE experience strongly desired. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Knowledge of coating equipment and coating systems both PVD and Sputter required.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and CAD preferred.
U.S. Citizen. Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and final government security clearance. The security clearance process requires applicants to complete a standard security questionnaire and undergo a thorough background investigation for adjudication.
