The City of Portland is hiring a Management Analyst!
The City of Portland is seeking a Management Analyst within the Asset Management Group of the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Asset Management Group provides oversight and direction in the selection, delivery, operation, and maintenance of projects and assets across the Portland Bureau of Transportation. This position will provide recommendations to improve processes and implement efficiencies to support the Bureau in delivering a growing capital program effectively and transparently. By facilitating use of the Bureau's program and project management software tool (e-Builder), this position supports project managers, engineers and other staff Bureau-wide in tracking project performance, meeting schedule and budget targets, collecting and reporting data, on project delivery, and identifying opportunities to increase PBOT's success in this work. This position will support the continued growth and development of the Asset Management Group by attending meetings, delivering presentations, leading discussions, and updating the website.
Other duties will include:
Process mapping around new projects from planning through closeout
Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
Train and support PBOT staff using e-Builder (the Bureau's program and project management software tool)
Identify additional e-Builder customization
Assist capital controls develop business processes related to project delivery, perform project audits, and oversee tracking of key performance indicators.
The addition of this new position will enable the Asset Management Group to meet the current demand expectations as well as increase capacity for future high impact services that will ensure PBOT's ability to deliver projects on- time and on- budget.
An ideal candidate will have strong experience in process improvement. Experience with project management software and process mapping is highly desired.

The following minimum qualifications are REQUIRED for this position:
Knowledge of basic principles and techniques of project planning and management
Experience conducting research, analyzing data, identifying needs, and drafting communication materials required for implementation.
Experience preparing clear, concise, and comprehensive reports and/or correspondence to a diverse audience.
Ability to exercise independent judgment, coordinate multiple complex projects, and meet critical deadlines
Experience utilizing the principles and practices of sound business communication including business software (Please list specific software and level of experience)
