Primary responsibility for Dispersion sales in North America
Perform all product demonstrations for Getzmann equipment at the BGU lab and in the field, if necessary
In-house resource for training on all Getzmann Dispersion products
Act as the conduit for sales or marketing information from VMA-Getzmann and BYK-Gardner
Maintain and manage the day to day dispersion activities of sales channels, including agents as well as BYK-Gardner’s Regional Sales Managers
Call on end-users and all key accounts within North America
Work with the General Manager to rate the performance of existing sales channels, as well as to develop new channels
Train all sales channels on the applications and use of Dispermats and BYK-Gardner products
Assists the sales channels to call on specific target accounts
Periodically review all sales channels within their area with respect to sales performance, product knowledge, literature, customer knowledge, and other parameters.
Presents, manages or assists at Dispersion-related trade shows, seminars and technical presentations
Complete minor dispersion equipment repairs
Submit weekly call reports via the CRM system
Be prepared with current VMA & BGU catalogs & literature on every sales call
Forward opportunities for other BYK-Gardner instrumentation to responsible parties within the company
Maintain membership & participate in local technical societies
Ensure that all accounts, potential & existing, are contacted by our sales channels.
Visit and develop sales opportunities independently from current BG sales channels, especially in non-core BG markets
Work with VMA-Getzmann to determine what support materials are needed and provide them for the sales force
Give input to the General Manager regarding product pricing
Keep track of the competitions’ activities and product lines. Maintain a file on the competition
Pursue sales opportunities within and outside of BYK-Gardner’s market segments

Bachelor degree required, preferably in Marketing, Sciences or Process/Mechanical Engineering
At least 3 years of capital equipment sales experience required
Technical aptitude required
Excellent communication skills required
Proficiency with PC based software required
Special Position Requirements:
Up to 80% travel required
Valid US driver’s license required; (eligible for) valid US passport
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
English language fluency required; German fluency preferred
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Wallingford, CT location helpful but not required. National sales responsibility. Work from home office.
