The Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC) in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering (IAFSE) at Arizona State University (ASU) seeks applicants for a lecturer (all ranks) position starting January 8, 2018. Appointments will be made at the rank of Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Lecturer, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and accomplishments. Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in construction, including courses in safety, construction materials, and means and methods. Other responsibilities include holding office hours, supervising undergraduate design and research projects, participating in course and program assessment, and working with student organizations and competition teams. This position is non-tenure track. It is anticipated that the contract will be renewed annually subject to satisfactory performance.
Minimum of an MS in construction management, construction engineering, or a related discipline.
Teaching experience in an undergraduate construction management or engineering program.
Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching that incorporates active learning.
Minimum of five years of construction industry field management experience.
Familiarity with ACCE and/or ABET accreditation processes.
Ten years of construction industry field management experience.
PE license, CPC, or other professional certification
