The Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineering Manager directs Quality Assurance. This position oversees the entire quality assurance program at TSI, mass production as well as new products. The responsibilities also include communications with customers and suppliers for audits, product returns, and continuous improvement. In addition, this position manages Quality System certification to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Quality and Reliability Assurance Engineering Manager reports to the VP of Operations. Reporting to the incumbent are Reliability Quality Control Engineers, Reliability Quality Control Technicians and Document Control Clerks.
Ensure manufacturing processes complies with goals of company quality policy.
Completing 8D and 5 WHY procedures for all customers manufacturing process failures.
Coordinating the efforts of field sales on supplier PCN notifications.
Interface with relevant personnel to ensure successful closure for all non-compliance issues.
Strategically develop & monitor the direct interface with supplier on quality assurance.
Handle green procurement environment procedures for customer production processes.
Inspect purchased materials.
Prepare and coordinate meetings with customers.
Prepare budgets for one or more units.
Establish guidelines for suppliers.
Responsible for selecting new employees, conducting performance appraisals.
BS Degree in Engineering/Science required plus 8 - 10 years of directly related experience or the equivalent in education and experience.
3-5 years of quality control experience in semiconductor electronics.
Ability to quickly react to changing environments in a diverse customer base.
Knowledge of automotive customer demands and the necessary supplier prerequisites.
Firm understanding of ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949 (IATF 16949:2016) certification processes.
Experience with FMEA, variability analysis, root cause analysis & Kaizen.
Strong interpersonal relationships with suppliers in the electronics industry.
Self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills.
Strong proficiency in MS Office and Internet skills are required.
Knowledge of service prerequisites for both automotive customers and suppliers.
Handling of manufacturing quality processes and procedures.
Familiarity with developing strong working relationships with suppliers and customers.
